Georgia head coach Mike White offered an update on the Bulldogs’ leading scorer Terry Roberts after Saturday night’s loss at Texas A&M. Roberts missed the game with what was reported to be a concussion and did not make the trip with the team to College Station.

“I’ve been told day-to-day and it occurred during the last game [against Auburn],” White said when asked about the occurrence of the injury and a possible timeline to return. Georgia plays again on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs only mustered up 57 points while shooting 17-of-56 (30.4%) from the field and 5-of-31 (16.1%) from 3-point range. Justin Hill, Roberts’ replacement in the starting lineup, led all scorers with 20 but Georgia still fell by 25 to the Aggies. Kario Oquendo, Georgia’s second-leading scorer on the season and the only Bulldog besides Roberts to average in double-figures, finished the night with just two points.

“He’s been our best player, obviously. He orchestrates what we’re doing offensively and he’s been our best defender as well,” White said about the absence of Roberts. “That said, Terry Roberts not playing tonight is not why we lost the game … They were terrific on the offensive glass — the difference in the game, in my opinion. They only got 15. They were loud. It just seemed like when we forced misses, when we had made a shot or made a couple shots in a row, it just seemed like they got all of those. They got the important ones offensively, and they converted a lot of them.”

After playing its last two games on the road, Georgia returns home for three straight at Stegeman Coliseum. That starts on Tuesday with Ole Miss coming to town. The Bulldogs beat the Rebels 62-58 earlier this season in Oxford behind a strong second half from Oquendo. The junior guard scored all 15 of his points after the break to lead all scorers in the game and lead Georgia to its first road win in almost two years.

Tip time on Tuesday is set for 7:00 p.m. ET, airing on the SEC Network.
