The preseason accolades continue to stack up for Georgia stars. College football expert Phil Steele was bullish a few Bulldogs ahead of the 2025 season.

Seven Georgia stars were among Steele’s All-Americans as his annual pre-season preview makes it rounds.

CB Daylen Everette

Everette enters his junior season at Georgia with two years of contributions to the Bulldogs’ secondary. Everette tallied 58 total tackles and three interceptions in 2024 as Georgia’s top cornerback.

Two of those interceptions came in Georgia’s win over Texas in the SEC Championship Game. He was the MVP of the title game. Everette played a key role in 2023 as well. He had 29 tackles and one interception as a redshirt freshman.

Everette will again man Georgia’s top cornerback position. The Bulldogs have a young group of corners waiting in the wings, but Everette appears to be a steady piece of the puzzle going into 2025.

Punter Brett Thorson

Thorson has been one of the most consistent punters in college football over the last three years. He averaged 47.6 yards per punt in 2024.

Thorson tore his ACL in the SEC Championship game and missed the Sugar Bowl loss to Notre Dame. Thorson is expected back and based on Steele’s prognostication, he’ll again be an effective presence for Georgia in 2025.

Second-Team All-American

Georgia linebacker CJ Allen was a member of the second team. He had 76 total tackles as a sophomore while splitting time with Raylen Wilson, Smael Mondon and Chris Cole.

Allen has already been projected as high as a first-round pick this summer.

Long snapper Beau Gardner is also on Steele’s second-team All-American. Gardner is in his second season in Athens after transferring from UCLA ahead of last season.

Third and Fourth team

Georgia had two members of Steele’s third-team All-American team. Defensive tackle Christian Miller was named to the third squad.

Miller was on the field for snap one of the 2024 season. He played a key rotational role for the entire season. Miller had 27 total tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Rising sophomore safety KJ Bolden earned third-team honors as well from Steele. The freshman All-American had 59 total tackles and one interception.

Kicker Peyton Woodring rounded out Georgia’s inclusions on Steele’s All-American teams. Woodring was 21 of 23 on field goals in 2024.
