Los Angeles, Calif. — Georgia is right where it wanted to be when the season began. It’s in the City of Angels with a 14-0 record and a chance to win a second straight National Championship.

TCU is one of College Football’s best Cinderella stories of the 21st century. The Horned Frogs have battled week in and week out, winning games in a variety of ways. It won’t back down on Monday.

The Bulldogs must overcome some injuries to win this one and below, DawgsHQ gives you the final report as we know it.

Out…

RB Andrew Paul (knee): The late addition to a No. 3-ranked 2022 haul for Georgia was pushing for a spot in the rotation before suffering a torn ACL in the second and final preseason scrimmage. Paul had surgery to repair that injury and will miss the entire 2022 season.

ILB C.J. Washington (neck): We don’t know when Washington might make a return to the football field. The true freshman suffered a neck injury during spring practice and while we’re told that he’s doing well, he hasn’t been able to practice since.

OL Drew Bobo (shoulder): The son of Georgia analyst Mike Bobo will be out until spring after having surgery to repair a torn labrum. He had the injury when he arrived at UGA and Kirby Smart says he went as long as he could before getting the procedure.

OL Earnest Greene (back): Georgia could get the giant offensive lineman back in the postseason but no sooner. He had a procedure to correct an issue in his back and will miss the rest of the 2022 regular season. Greene was competing for playing time at guard during preseason camp.

OL Jacob Hood (lower body): The mammoth offensive lineman has been banged up to some extent since spring drills and maybe before that. He missed Georgia spring practice with a foot injury and had a tough time staying healthy in the preseason. Hood hasn’t been available for a game yet this season.

Dan Jackson (foot): The walk-on safety suffered a foot fracture that reached a point where it needed surgery to fix. Jackson is out for the rest of the 2022 season after starting in one game and playing a key role in the third-down dime package as well as special teams.

OLB Nolan Smith (pectoral muscle): Georgia has been without one of its best leaders since the Florida game. He won’t be back this season and the Bulldogs have had to piece it together defensively without him on the field.

Questionable…

TE Darnell Washington (foot/ankle): He suffered the injury in the Ohio State game and hasn’t been able to practice since. Washington has played enough football that he can be plugged in but he’s probably not going to be a big part of the game plan one way or another.

Probable…

RT Warren McClendon (knee): The Brunswick native could have probably played last week. We fully expect him to play this week. Getting back to three game-ready tackles is a huge security blanket for the Bulldog offense. If one of those guys struggle with the activity of TCU’s front, Stacy Searels has somewhere to turn.

OLB Chaz Chambliss (knee): This one was feared to be serious initially. It turned out to be a hyperextension with no structural damage and he has gotten in plenty of work this week. He’s going to play a lot on early downs.
