New NCAA Baseball Tournament projection has Georgia at No. 6

Despite losing its first game in the SEC tournament for the second straight season, Georgia baseball is still projected as a top eight seed in the 2025 NCAA Baseball tournament. Baseball America released it’s latest prediction on Thursday where the Bulldogs sit at No. 6.
That comes after UGA fell 3-2 to Oklahoma on Wednesday, moving its record to 42-13 on the year. The loss also caused Georgia to slide in the RPI from No. 1 to No. 3. Auburn has the nation’s No. 1 RPI and Vanderbilt sits at No. 2. The Bulldogs swept the Tigers in Athens earlier this season and lost all three in Nashville.
According to D1Baseball, Georgia is projected as a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. That would put it in position to host a regional. Should the Bulldogs win that four-team regional, they’d move on to a two-team super regional in a best of three format for a chance to play in Omaha.
Georgia is currently ranked No. 3 in the land by Baseball America, which has yet to release updated NCAA tournament projections. Despite having the Bulldogs as a No. 5 seed, D1 Baseball ranks the Bulldogs at No. 10.
