The Georgia Show: A bludgeoning delivered to Texas

Georgia puts it on the Longhorns
The Bulldogs put together a complete performance against Texas from the opening kickoff, stifling the Longhorns and Arch Manning throughout the evening. Gunner Stockton was absolutely surgical once again in the effort, playing his best ball in big situations, and bouncing back seamlessly from an interception with an 8-for-8 performance and two touchdowns. The defense also kept the pressure coming in a major way, with the likes of Quintavius Johnson and Gabe Harris shaking up the pocket for the Longhorns. Overall, it was one of the most complete wins of the season for Georgia, and the Bulldogs continued some of the momentum they were able to establish against Mississippi State.
Is Georgia getting hot at the right time?
How many teams would want to face this iteration of the Bulldogs right now? With consistent week-to-week improvements, both offensively and defensively, it feels like Kirby’s squad is peaking close to the playoff, and that could be a huge advantage for the longterm prospects of this team in reaching their ultimate goals. We take a look at the trajectory of this Georgia team and why it could be just what the doctor ordered.

A couple of new commits in the mix
Georgia didn’t just beat Texas this weekend — it expanded its recruiting influence once again. Three-star running back Noah Parker of the Class of 2027 jumped aboard on Saturday, and don’t let his ranking fool you. This was a guy Georgia was chasing heavily early on this cycle with several running back options available. On Sunday, the Dawgs saw 2028 quarterback Jayden Wade, the top overall prospect in his class, come aboard. While the 2028 cycle is a long ways away, there is much to like about this pledge already, and he’s saying the right things.
Charlotte Week is Here — How will the Bulldogs spend it?
Let’s call it what it is. This isn’t one of the most formidable opponents that Georgia will face on this schedule, and that may allow some extra prep time for the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech. We look at how they could spend this week from a practice standpoint, and it’s safe to say that this is a useful one at the right time.
