Georgia doesn’t make it easy but is successful once again…

If you were hoping The Cocktail Party would be an easy win for Georgia…well, you should be accustomed to what’s happening at this point by now. While the Dawgs had opportunities to pull away in this one, the Gators managed to keep it close throughout, but when it mattered most, Gunner Stockton and company stepped up and made the plays that counted. Major kudos are due to the likes of Zachariah Branch, who put together what may well be his signature performance with the Bulldogs, and CJ Allen, who reminded people why he’s still an integral part of this defense. It’s clear that’s Georgia has an identity rooted in toughness, belief, and resilience this season, and for Kirby Smart and company, it continues to work. That’s good news as the season moves along.

Georgia turns its focus to Mississippi State

In case you haven’t been paying attention this season, each week is a war, and while Georgia certainly has an edge in talent over the Bulldogs over the former SEC West, this is a better offense from the one that the Dawgs just squeaked out a win against. Mississippi State is going to get creative on the offensive side of the ball, as well, with Jeff Lebby is an established standout in the world of play calling. While Kirby Smart and company should be entering with some confidence, you’d be crazy to think any game is much of a walk in the park these days.

A wild weekend in college football

In case you missed it, major Georgia rivals, such as Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and Auburn, all struggled this weekend, and the Tigers are now on the hunt for a coach to fill the shoes of Hugh Freeze. They’ve turned to DJ Durkin in the interim, but who may ultimately end up securing the spot? What does the wild world of college football fallout mean for the likes of assistants, as well? We’re touching on the national picture in this one.
