G-Day is coming. We’ve got questions

The annual Georgia spring scrimmage is set to kickoff on Saturday, and we’re curious as to some of the biggest takeaways for this edition. First off, we dive in on what we’re looking for most in the game. Jake Rowe is curious to see how many of the Bulldog faithful come out for this one, and Jake Reuse is looking at the alignments — who’s at safety? Does Quintavious Johnson look like the guy we heard so much about last fall? Coming off of this one, what will the main storylines be? Jake Rowe wants to know if we’ll see the traditional first teams go at each other, or will the Dawgs try to mix things up a bit more that in previous years. Jake Reuse is more focused on seeing what happens in the trenches for Kirby Smart’s squad with a lot of young names being mentioned for both. Next, we’re looking toward the names everyone is talking about going into this one and the names they may be talking about coming off of the game, as well. Obviously, there will be quarterback chatter, but we dive even deeper on some of the names who have a chance to make a real impression for the Bulldogs in this one.

Georgia recruiting will be at full speed this weekend

Some key names are headed to town for the Bulldogs for G-Day, and we’re diving in on the buzz that’s beginning to build in that way. There’s an under-the-radar quarterback prospect to be tuned into, and there are a couple of official visitors for Georgia this week, as well. Will this be one of those weekends we look back on as setting the stage for future on the recruiting trail? It’s definitely shaping up to be.

Asa Newell opts to go pro

Georgia basketball has seen it’s fair share of transfers this offseason, but on Wednesday, one of its key pieces from last season announced his intentions to take his game to the next level, as Asa Newell entered his name into the NBA draft. With the latest defection, where does Mike White go from here? What’s ahead for the Dawgs next season on the hardwood?
