Georgia fall camp is here

The Bulldogs will kick things off on Thursday, and as such, there’s plenty to discuss. Who will fill in some of the key spots? Offensive line has to restock, but the majority of those jobs feel spoken for. Is that a good thing? What about the safety spot? The Bulldogs brought in a number of experienced options there, but will they be able to seize it from the teeth of JaCorey Thomas, who has the experience? CJ Allen seems to be penciled in at the inside linebacker spot, but there are three other players vying for minutes there in Raylen Wilson, Justin Williams, and Chris Cole. Georgia has the opportunity to rotate heavily at this position, and Cole may be the Jalon Walker adjacent player this year. The options are similarly strong at the tight end position, and while Oscar Delp likely has a chokehold on his spot, is it Lawson Luckie or Jaden Reddell beyond him? How does Elyiss Williams factor in for Todd Hartley? There’s much to address in short order as the Dawgs fire everything up on Thursday.

Decisions on deck

The Bulldogs are set to learn the fate of two impactful recruits this week, but will the decisions fall in the favor of Georgia? Offensive lineman Breck Kolojay will announce his future home on Friday, and Georgia is in the running, alongside the likes of Miami and USC. Right now, it feels like the Trojans are surging for the coveted offensive line prospect, but Georgia is right in the thick of it. Meanwhile, Saturday, defensive lineman Anthony Lonon will make his call. A Georgia legacy, Lonon has immense versatility in his game, and we are high on how he factors in at the defensive line in a number of spots. Georgia seems to think of him in that way based on those who are recruiting him.
