So, about that Georgia – Auburn game…

It’s safe to say that Saturday evening was one of the weirder, wilder games you’ll ever see the Georgia Bulldogs play in, between insane officiating, incredible swings in time of possession, and a completely different second half versus first half. What did we learn about the Bulldogs through this contest? There was some definite resilience and toughness shown. Problems do persist, but these Dawgs continue to find a way to pull it out. There were some impressive performances from the likes of Colbie Young and CJ Allen, and how about Ellis Robinson? The young corner looks to be coming into his own, putting together a shutdown on future first round pick Cam Coleman. Georgia is putting the fanbase through it right now, but at the end of the day, the results continue to keep the Dawgs largely on the right side of win column.

Ole Miss is looming

The No. 5 ranked Rebels are headed to Athens for a 3:30 matchup with the Dawgs, and it’s been an interesting series over the past few years. Lane Kiffin has his team clicking again, but there have been a few eyebrow raising performances this year, including last weekend against Washington State. Georgia has fared far better at home, which may prove to be an important factor again. For Georgia, the pace of the game will be important to try and keep up with, as Kiffin and company will want to play quickly. Can Georgia keep up?

Game Day heads to Georgia + a major recruiting weekend on tap

As if a top ten matchup wasn’t enough to draw your intrigue, the Dawgs are set to play host to College Game Day, adding even more to the atmosphere. And you better believe that Georgia will be seeking to bring in some of the nation’s best underclassmen. We look ahead on what it all may look like.
