Looking back on the 2025 Georgia season

It was one of the more interesting seasons in recent memory for the Georgia Bulldogs, with highs and lows along the way, development over the course of months, and ultimately, an SEC Championship that most folks didn’t have on their Bingo card going into this campaign. We look back on a mixed bag along the way, with Gunner Stockton coming into his own, CJ Allen playing at a Butkus level, and the secondary finding its footing and growing in major ways with the emergence of Ellis Robinson and Demello Jones, just as Georgia fans had been hoping for for some time. When did we have concerns? When did we know things were going to be ok? We look at it all.

Was this Kirby Smart’s best coaching job?

There have been several teams over the year that Smart and company have had their hands full with, but this one stacks up for a number of reasons. Sure, improvement is expected, but this team went above and beyond in that regard. Youth and transfers may be the defining traits of this particular squad, and the Dawgs managed to maximize both in this one, with key contributors coming in the forms of Zach Branch, Noah Thomas, Elijah Griffin, Dontrell Glover, and Juan Gaston, among others. We look back on the past seasons and how they stack up this year comparatively.

The 2026 Georgia Schedule is here

How do things shape up for the Bulldogs heading into next season? In our estimation, things are shaping up quite well for Georgia based on the draw. A number of first time SEC head coaches, some of the lesser teams (or at least those clawing back to relevancy), and an ease into things with the first two weeks.
