The Georgia Show: Recruiting takes center stage this weekend

Georgia coaches hit the road on the bye
The team may be on a break this weekend, but that certainly doesn’t mean any rest for the staff in Athens. Georgia coaches will be hitting the road to see some top targets and check in on commits. Who’s going where? Rusty Mansell has the latest, with a look at the likes of James Coley (set to see wide receiver pledge Ryan Mosley and a LOADED Carrollton squad against one of the top teams in the state of Alabama) and Tray Scott (checking in on one of the most important commits for the Bulldogs in this cycle — Valdin Sone). Sounds like Donte Williams is already out and about, as well. Remember, Georgia coaches only get a singular visit with a respective pledge during the season, so these are crucial trips for the staff. We break down what they mean and where they’ll be. Plus, could we see some coaches pop up at places that aren’t being widely reported? You never can tell with recruiting…
Georgia commits rise in the ranks
The latest edition of the Rivals 300 is out, and several of the top names on the commit list saw their stock rise in a major way. Quarterback Jared Curtis continues his ascension toward the top of the list, as he’s now the nation’s No. 1 quarterback and No. 2 player overall in the country. Elsewhere, wide receiver Craig Dandridge is among the hottest names in the nation, finding himself with a major jump in his ranking. No surprise give how he’s performing against some of the best in Georgia. Don’t forget about Nick Abrams either, who we still think may be a little underrated.
