Georgia grinds one out against Ole Miss

The Georgia Bulldogs put together a characteristic performance on Saturday, with plenty of handwringing early on, and then, a dominant performance to end the game in totality. Gunner Stockton continues to show his clutch ability, with an absolute nails showing of perfection in the second half. Georgia did lose Colbie Young in the effort, which is a blow, but the Dawgs responded in impressive fashion with their tight end play. Lawson Luckie didn’t leave anything to be desired with his approach on Saturday. How about Nate Frazier in this one, too? He looks to have put those fumbles in the rearview, at least in terms of his approach to the game. The offensive line continues to take steps forward, as well. There’s much to love about the offensive performance…

But what about that Georgia defense?

The questions continue to exist for Glenn Schumann and his unit, as Georgia stopped precious little until the fourth quarter. Still, when called upon, this defensive group has answered. It happened once again in the late stages of the game, with the Dawgs stepping up in the clutch moments to help seal the deal. We’re not excusing anything for Georgia, but that these Dawgs have been able to come forward in the biggest moments is not nothing. Demello Jones and Ellis Robinson continue growing, and that’s a great sign, as well.

Bye Week is here

How will the Dawgs spend their “off week”? Rusty Mansell dives in on what Georgia is up to this week, and it includes recruiting stop for coaches along the way. We also get into what might problematic in terms of Florida’s next hire, plus a 2028 commitment that was dyed in the wool when it comes the Dawgs. Several Dawgs can heal up in the course, and this may benefit them massively moving forward.
