It’s the week before Georgia game week!

Do you notice that time seems to be dragging on? It’s hard not to feel the anticipation in the air when it comes to what’s lurking ahead just next weekend, and DawgsHQ is just as ready as you are. We look back on fall camp and what it’s been like covering Georgia to this point, and thankfully, it’s been a light one where the injuries are concerned. We’ve kept the information rolling out steadily, however, and we’re ready to keep it rolling before it all gets going.

Risers and fallers from Georgia preseason camp

It’s a consistent story each and every year — some names ascend, while others seem to dip slightly over the course of the fall camp. So, who are we stamping as potential risers from this Georgia camp? Names such as Adrian Maddox, CJ Wiley, Elyiss Williams, and London Humphreys seem to be making their fair share of noise and raising eyebrows across the Georgia football landscape for their showings over the course of fall. But what about those names that may have taken a slight step back based on all we’ve heard? We’re sure to touch on those, as well, with the all-important caveat that a quiet camp does not mean a bad camp. There are always names that end up producing in a big way that seemingly never get a mention during this season of the year, so it’s important to take it all with a grain of salt.

Setting expectations

Given all the buzz around this team, it’s fair to expect plenty from the squad, but what’s on the minds of the DawgsHQ team when it comes to expectations? Georgia does still have two games to get things sorted out, which should allow fall camp competition to continue to spill over. Still, we’re looking for major improvements in the running game after last year, a lack of issues through the first two contests, and much more.
