Georgia readies for Mississippi State

There’s been a bit of a pervasive thought surrounding this game that the Bulldogs of Athens may have their hands a bit full with Jeff Lebby’s breed of Bulldogs, but what this that born out of? Georgia has played in several tight contests this season, but Mississippi State has been a bit of a bottom dweller in many categories this season. Still, they’re better than last year’s iteration of their team by a mile. Can Kirby Smart’s squad put together the game they’ve been searching for all year, or will this end up in nail biter territory once again? We break it down from all the angles.

What about the matchups?

Georgia will be facing a familiar name on Saturday, with former Dawg Anthony Evans lining up for Mississippi State at the wide receiver position, but he’s not the only name you’ll want to know. Controlling the pass game will be key for Georgia on Saturday will be key, and it’s something the Dawgs have been struggling with this season. Can this be the weekend they are successful? What about offensively? Will Mike Bobo let the running game lead the way, or will the Dawgs challenge through the air with Gunner Stockton? Given how Mississippi State has done in the interception category, that’ll be an interesting consideration. This one can be interesting in multiple ways, and we’re diving on how.
