Georgia secures Sone

In one of the biggest wins of the cycle, the Georgia Bulldogs managed to secure the services of four-star defensive lineman Valdin Sone. Overcoming the likes of Nebraska and Florida was a challenge, but in the end, Tray Scott and Kirby Smart’s development ended up being a compelling enough factor to put the Dawgs over the top. In Sone, the Bulldogs get a disruptor who’s just scratching the surface of his potential. His workout was one that had the staff salivating, putting him atop the priority list, and landing him, particularly in the light of losing James Johnson, was among the most important to-dos of the summer. Rusty and Jake dive in on the film and what made him a must-get for Georgia in the end.

Another big puzzle piece — Nick Abrams

Sone wasn’t alone last week in his pledge to the Bulldogs, with four-star linebacker Nick Abrams joining the fold after a long, thorough recruitment. With freaky measurables and a mindset that should fit quite well into Glenn Schumann’s room, Abrams was heavily pursued throughout the cycle, and, especially on the heels of Tyler Atkinson’s pledge to Texas, landing his services was a priority for Georgia for some time now. What does he bring to the fold? We take a look at the get from every angle.

Georgia looking to Lonon

The summer buzz may not be over, with a close to home defender set to make his decision in short order. Anthony Lonon is a Georgia legacy and plays his high school ball just up Baxter Street from campus, so the ties are hard to miss, but he’s also a standout pass rusher with a number of capabilities along the defensive front. There’s been much debate as to how things would shake out here, but it looks as if it’s all full steam ahead for Georgia when it comes to Lonon. Will they win out in the end?
