One of the nation’s best is now on the list for Georgia in the Class of 2026, with five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro announcing his commitment to the Bulldogs on Saturday.

At almost 6-foot-6, 215 pounds, Prothro brings one of the most unique frames and skillsets to the commit list of any of the names who’ve pledged their services.

While he hits the list categorized as a tight end, Prothro brings diverse ability to the spot, with the ability to split out wide, high point the ball, and make tough catches against strong coverage using his exceptional size to his benefit and showcasing understanding how to maximize his sizable advantages physically.

The Bulldogs invested heavily throughout his recruitment to ensure he’d be a part of the class, with ace recruiter Todd Hartley having put his best foot forward for the do-it-all offensive weapon. That doesn’t mean it was always easy, however.

“Really Coach Hartley is just loving up on me and texting me,” Prothro said. “…I feel like coach Hartley still loves me, calls me every day…I grew up a Georgia fan, me and my dad. Really my parents want what’s best for me. They said wherever I go, they’ll put on the jersey.”

He joins four-star tight ends Brayden Fogle and Lincoln Keyes in this Class of 2026 for the Bulldogs.

But Prothro is a different player than the two more traditional tight ends.

Kaiden Prothro is a big-framed jumbo pass-catcher who combines great size with outstanding long speed. The gifted tight end measured in at 6-foot-5.25, 216 pounds at Rivals Five Star,” Charles Power, Rivals Director of Scouting and Rankings said of the rising senior in June. “Prothro has plus length with a 33.5-inch arm to go with 10-inch hands. The Peach State product has the frame to easily add 30+ more pounds.”
