WATCH: Highlights of new Georgia five-star QB commit Jared Curtis

Georgia has its quarterback commit in the fold for the Class of 2026, with five-star signal caller Jared Curtis finding his way back into the mix.
After initially pledging his services to the Bulldogs in March of 2024, Curtis reopened his process in October of last year, taking the opportunity to entertain other potential suitors. The Bulldogs, however, were a consistent factor throughout, ultimately securing his services over the Oregon Ducks in the end.
Through three seasons, he’s posted 7665 yards passing, 92 touchdowns to 19 interceptions, and a career completion percentage right at 62-percent. His junior season, however, was a true marvel, as he completed 70-percent of his passes and threw for 40 touchdowns to three picks. He’s also contributed over 1600 yards rushing and 38 career touchdowns on the ground.
When you turn on the tape, it’s easy to see why Georgia kept its foot firmly to the ground for almost 6-foot-4, 225 pound Nashville Christian product, as Curtis showcases an elite arm, capable of making throws with both power and touch at all the levels on the field.
Additionally, Curtis moves quite well on tape, particularly for his size, and flashes escapability from pressure and the arm talent to make deadly accurate throws on the run when asked to do so.

His On3 Player comp is one that speaks to all of that, with our evaluators pointing toward a name that still perks up ears among the Georgia faithful in Matt Stafford.
The reasoning for that comparison?
“Jared Curtis’ top shelf arm talent and ability to make plays outside of structure remind us of Matthew Stafford at the same stage. Curtis has a bigger frame than Stafford, while Stafford was more proven against top competition playing at a high level of Texas high school football.”
No doubt the Bulldogs have a special one on their list for this cycle in the young star from the Volunteer State.
The On3 Scouting Report on Jared Curtis
“Elite arm talent with creative playmaking ability. Has a big frame, measuring in at around 6-foot-3.5, 225 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand prior to his junior season. Looks like the top arm talent in the 2026 cycle. Ball explodes off his hand. Generates considerable velocity on throws to all areas of the field. Has a loose, natural throwing motion. Capable of delivering impressive passes from several arm angles. A pure rotational athlete who does not need his feet set to throw accurate passes. Plays with a gunslinging mentality and is not afraid to drive the football into tight windows over the middle of the field. A fluid athlete who is tough to corral in the backfield. Dangerous playmaker and improviser. Had some unbelievable second-reaction plays as a junior, evading pass rushers and uncorking throws 50+ yards downfield. Made impressive strides with his accuracy and decision-making as a junior. Completed over 70% of his passes for 2,830 yards (11.1 yards per attempt) for 40 touchdowns and 3 interceptions while leading his team to a state title. Also rushed for 637 yards and 18 scores. Does not play top competition and is older for the cycle. Will need to continue improving his consistency, but the pure arm talent and playmaking ability give him one of the highest upsides in the 2026 cycle.” – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings, on Jared Curtis
