WATCH: New Georgia DL commit Anthony Lonon Highlights

Kirby Smart and company are always looking for gamewreckers on the defensive front, and on Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs added another one to the fold — this time in the form of Anthony Lonon.
The Clarke Central standout is a four-star prospect in the Class of 2026 and ranks as the nation’s No. 263 overall player in the cycle per the Rivals Industry Ranking. At 6-foot-2, 260 pounds, he is also the nation’s No. 28 defensive lineman and No. 31 prospect in Georgia for the class per the same metric.
Lonon joins a loaded defensive line class for the Dawgs in 2026, alongside the likes of fellow four-star prospects PJ Dean, Valdin Sone, Carter Luckie, and Seven Cloud. Three-star defender Preston Carey is also in the fold for Tray Scott in the cycle.
While Lonon may not possess as much size as some of the aforementioned names, the thirty-first commitment of the class does bring absolutely relentless pressure in the backfield and knack for bringing the ball carrier down for a loss.

WATCH ANTHONY LONON HIGHLIGHTS
Lonon’s film, ultimately, made him undeniable for the Georgia staff, which turned up the heat in a major way over the course of the summer.
His versatility is what led to the push in the biggest way.
“They envision me as a first down, second down tackle, and they like the fact that I can move, and then on third down, they like me as an end,” Lonon told DawgsHQ’s Jeremy Johnson of his projected plan. “I’m excited to see how that looks. I played everything in high school. I feel like I have a very strong pass rush, and I’m elusive on the defensive line. I’m grateful for the coaches for letting me explore and for how they’ve helped me progress as a player.”
