Ben McCollum talks loss to Cyclones
Ben McCollum isn’t one to look for moral victories. He is about competing and winning games. On Thursday, while some might be pleased with the growth his Iowa team showed in a road game against a ranked opponent, McCollum wasn’t one of them because it wasn’t a victory.
Following the game in Ames, McCollum spoke to the media about the hot start from his team in the first half to build a double digit lead. He also goes into detail about how his team gave up a 16-0 run to start the second half and how they were unable to stop that run. Then he discusses the play of Tate Sage and his fearless nature and a couple of potentially controversial officiating calls late in the game.
