Ben McCollum talks Iowa win over Mississippi
There is something about Ben McCollum and playing in these in-season tournaments. Last year at Drake he made the college basketball world take notice of the Bulldogs at a Thanksgiving Tournament in Charleston. This year he’s on his way to doing the same thing with his new team in Iowa City in a tournament in Palm Springs.
Iowa and McCollum faced a difficult challenge and prep getting ready for a tough team from Ole Miss. They passed with flying colors on Tuesday evening after a 74-69 win over the Rebels. McCollum talked about the incredible play of Bennett Stirtz and how they attacked switching screens. He also talked about the emergence of Cooper Koch and much more.
