Ben McCollum on the victory over SEMO
While the Hawkeyes finished off the Redhawks in convincing fashion with a 99-70 victory on Tuesday evening, Iowa head coach Ben McCollum will likely come away finding plenty for his team to work on, particularly in the second half on the defensive end.
But, overall, it was a fourth straight strong performance from McCollum’s team, particularly in the first half, where the Hawkeyes built a twenty point edge on the scoreboard. Following the win, McCollum spoke about the win, the character of his players, and actually getting Bennett Stirtz some minutes off the court in the second half of the game.
