Ben McCollum on the victory over Western Illinois

One thing we are learning early on in the tenure of Ben McCollum is that he can be his own harshest critic. He gave an example of that on Friday night saying that he needed to coach better in several areas of the Hawkeyes 77-58 victory over Western Illinois.
Following the win, McCollum talked about the defensive effort, hinted at a possible need for more size in the starting lineup, discussed the play of true freshman Tate Sage and his background in Oklahoma as a prep player, and the iron man abilities of Bennett Stirtz.
