Ben McCollum talks win over Grand Canyon
While it wasn’t always pretty on Wednesday night as fatigue set in and struggling shooting led to an ugly win over Grand Canyon in Palm Springs. Ben McCollum suggested that it was a combination of factors that led the Hawkeyes slow start. But, eventually Iowa woke up and built a lead in the later stages of the first half and pulled away for a 59-46 victory.
Following the win, Ben McCollum talked about what he has learned in the last two games about his team, the slow start and what factored into it, the struggles from both teams in the second half when it comes to scoring field goals, how they will handle the next few days as they prepare for the start of Big Ten play next week ,and if they are committed to a tournament next year during Thanksgiving week.
