Maybe the Connecticut defense was underrated. Not many came into the game discussing that end of the floor. It was all about Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark and the offensive portion of the game. UConn held Clark to six points in the first half, but she was able to finish with 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, including just one second half turnover. The Hawkeyes will play for the national title on Sunday against South Carolina.

Clark spoke with the media after the game to discuss if it was easy to reset at halftime knowing they hadn’t played their best basketball, the performances from Hannah Stuelke and Kate Martin, as well as the emergence of the teams defense as of late.
