Hawkeye players preview South Carolina

Kate Martin Pre-national Title Press Conference

In under 24 hours, the Iowa Women’s Basketball team will take the floor for their second straight national title game appearance. Not many expected them to be back in this position after losing two starters from last season’s squad. However, here they are back on the biggest stage after taking down the three seed Connecticut Huskies in the national semifinal on Friday night. Hannah Stuelke led the way with 23 points, while Caitlin Clark put up 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

On Saturday, Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall and Hannah Stuelke met with the media to preview their upcoming national title matchup with South Carolina, as well as discuss how playing on this stage last season helped them prepare for the return trip this season.
