Caitlin Clark invited to USA Basketball Training Camp

Caitlin Clark hopes that she will be busy with her Iowa teammates next weekend in Cleveland prepare for another trip to the Final Four. But, if he isn’t playing for Iowa, the All American will be practicing with a USA Basketball jersey on in Cleveland.

USA Basketball will be hosting a training camp for their national team around the NCAA Women’s Final Four in Cleveland and Clark was one of 14 players to be invited to participate in the event. The camp will take place April 3-5 and will held at the Cleveland Clinic Courts.

Clark is no stranger to being part of USA Basketball teams. She has earned three gold medals with USA Basketball junior national teams including most recently as a member of the 2021 USA Women’s U19 National Team.

The United States is seeking their eight straight gold medal in women’s basketball at the upcoming Paris Olympics. In February, the USA went 3-0 in the 2024 FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Antwerp, Belgium. The Americans beat hosts Belgium, 81-79, before dispatching of Nigeria (100-46) and Senegal (101-39).

In addition to Clark the other players who will be participating in the training camp include Diana Taurasi, Sabrina Ionescu, Jewel Lloyd, Kelsey Plum, Breanna Stewart, A’Ja Wilson, Brittney Griner, Jackie Young, Rhyne Howard, Chelsea Gray, Shakari Austin, Ariel Atkins, and Aliyah Boston.
