Drew Stevens on his record tying field goal

A few weeks ago disaster struck for Drew Stevens on a long 67 yard field goal attempt. It was blocked and bounced into the hands of a Penn State player who scooped it up and took it in for a score. It was the worst possible out and Stevens wondered if head coach Kirk Ferentz would look his way for another long field goal attempt.
There was Stevens in the second half, hammering a 58 yard field goal, which tied for the longest in Kinnick Stadium and Iowa football history. He talks about the faith that Ferentz showed in him and what hitting that field goal meant to him.
