Hahn excited about opportunity at Iowa

There has been a change of plans for in-state offensive lineman Will Hahn. The 6-foot-2, 270-pound Decorah native was previously going to play football in junior college this fall, but now will be joining the Iowa Hawkeyes as a preferred walk-on instead.
“I was originally committed to Iowa Western Community College for offensive line,” Hahn told HawkeyeReport.com. “I committed to Iowa Western in the early spring. Then, about three weeks ago, I received a call from Coach Niemann at Iowa asking if I would be willing to join the team. I decided join and I am grateful for this opportunity.”
Hahn, who visited Iowa City last fall, was a first-team all-state selection for Decorah after a standout senior season on both sides of the ball. Now, he will be taking those talents to Iowa, where he projects as an interior offensive lineman.
“I head down the 28th or 29th of July,” said Hahn. “I am very excited.”
