How to Watch: Iowa Women's Basketball at Maryland
Since they lost in Columbus back on January 21st, the Iowa women’s basketball team has bounced back with wins against Nebraska and Northwestern. Today, the Hawkeyes travel to the east coast for a matchup against the Maryland Terrapins. It will be the 18th all-time meeting, with the Terps leading the series 11-6, including a 6-1 all-time record at home against Iowa. The Hawkeyes won two out of three matchups last season, including a win in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals.

The Hawkeyes are led by National Player of the Year Caitlin Clark, who is averaging 32.1 points, 7.0 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game. Last time out, Iowa defeated Northwestern at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, 110-74. Clark finished with a double-double 35 points, ten assists and six rebounds, while Hannah Stuelke had 17 points and nine rebounds. Kate Martin added 16 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Gabbie Marshall knocked down four three-pointers, finishing with 12 points.

As for Maryland, they come into the contest with a 12-9 overall record, including a 4-6 mark in Big Ten play. The Terps are third in the country in games played against Quad 1 opponents (11), but are just 2-9 in those games. They have picked up quality wins over Syracuse, Green Bay and George Mason. Maryland is currently listed in the Last Four Byes portion of the NCAA Tournament bubble by ESPN bracketologist Charlie Creme.
The Terrapins are led by All-Big Ten guard Shyanne Sellers, who is averaging a team-high 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists, but she missed last game with a knee injury. She is questionable for today’s game. Last time out, Maryland was defeated at home against Indiana, 87-73. Jakia Brown-Turner led the way with 22 points and four rebounds, while Bri McDaniel added 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. Lavendar Briggs and Brinae Alexander combined for 20 points and nine rebounds.
