How to Watch: Iowa Women's Basketball vs Bowling Green

After spending the Thanksgiving weekend down in Florida at the Gulf Coast Showcase, the Hawkeyes returned to Iowa City with a championship trophy after a win over #14 K-State in the tournament final. Now, the Iowa women’s basketball team returns to Carver-Hawkeye Arena for a midday matchup against Bowling Green. It will be the first all-time meeting between the Hawkeyes and Falcons.
Lisa Bluder and Co. enters today’s contest with a 7-1 record, including wins over #9 Virginia Tech, #14 Kansas State and Drake. The Hawkeyes dropped to #5 in the AP Poll after suffering a home loss to Kansas State back on November 16th, but a four game winning streak has them up a spot to #4 in this weeks poll. Caitlin Clark was named Big Ten Player of the Week for the second time this season, while she earned Gulf Coast Showcase Tournament MVP. Molly Davis was also selected to the All-Tournament team.

Bowling Green comes in today’s game with a 5-1 record, including a win over Cleveland State and a pair of wins at the Savannah Hoops Invitational. The Falcons are led by first year head coach Fred Chmiel, who was previously an assistant coach at South Carolina. BGSU is 18-43 all-time against Big Ten opponents, with their last win coming against Michigan in the 2014 WNIT Sweet 16.
