Iowa Baseball puts eight players on All-Big Ten teams

On Tuesday morning, with the Big Ten Tournament just underway in Omaha, the conference announced award winners and all-conference teams for the 2025 season. Voting was conducted by the conference’s head coaches.
The Iowa Baseball team was represented well on the All-Big Ten teams, with eight players earning the distinction, including three First Team selections for just the third time since 1990. Under head coach Rick Heller, the Hawkeyes have had 47 All-Big Ten selections over 12 seasons, while they have had at least one first team selection in 10 of the 11 seasons that awards were handed out. Iowa is the only school with all three of its weekend starts earning All-Big Ten honors.
First Team All-Big Ten
LHP Cade Obermueller – The preseason pick to win Big Ten Pitcher of the year, Cade Obermueller was one of the finalists for the award, but Michigan State’s Joseph Dzierwa took home the award. In 14 starts during the regular season, Obermueller posted a 3.30 ERA over 76.1 innings, including 107 strikeouts to 31 walks.
