Iowa ranked 25th in latest AP Poll

The Iowa Hawkeyes have returned to the Associated Press Top 25 Poll. They fell out of the poll after being ranked 25th to open the season, but they are back in that same position after a week two win on the road at Iowa State.
The last time the Hawkeyes were ranked in the AP Poll during the season was at the end of the 2021 campaign when they were 23rd in the final poll.

Iowa is also 24th in the USA Today Coaches Poll released today.
The Hawkeyes are 2-0 on the season with victories over Utah State, who scored 78 points on Saturday in a win over Idaho State, and of course the win over Iowa State. This weekend, Iowa will play host to Western Michigan, who lost 48-7, giving up 48 unanswered points to the Orange on Saturday.
Following the Western Michigan contest, Iowa will hit the road once again to face their toughest test of the year, a road game at #7 Penn State. That will be their annual “White Out” contest at Beaver Stadium. If Iowa is ranked next week, it will be the Hawkeyes first ranked vs. ranked game since the Big Ten title game loss to Michigan in December of 2021. In that contest, Iowa was ranked 17th and Michigan was ranked 2nd.
