Hawkeyes talk senior day and Illinois
Last Sunday it was the Iowa women’s basketball team saying farewell to their seniors. This Sunday it will be the Hawkeye men’s team sending off three senior players for one final time at Carver-Hawkeye Arena when they host Illinois.
On Wednesday, seniors Ben Krikke and Patrick McCaffery met with the media to discuss their time at Iowa. Their journeys have been very different. Krikke will be participating in his second senior day as a graduate transfer from Valpo and talks about his one year with the Hawkeyes and how he has enjoyed it and what he has learned.
McCaffery also talks about his time with the Hawkeyes and his time in the program the last five years, along with the trips to the NCAA Tournament that he has made. He shares his thoughts on his future in basketball and how at this time he does not plan on returning for his Covid year at Iowa.
