Start times for several Iowa football games announced

We are inching closer and closer to the start of the college football season. One sign that it’s getting closer is the release of the early season start times for several Iowa football games.
That happened on Thursday morning when the Big Ten announced the kickoff times for Iowa’s early season games and a couple more for later in the season.
Let’s start with the opening game of the season on August 30th when Iowa hosts Albany. That contest will have an odd start time to 5 pm on FS1.
The next week on September 6th, the Hawkeyes will hit the road and travel to Ames to face the Cyclones. That contest is going to get the marquee treatment as the Big Noon Kickoff game on FOX, starting at 11 a.m.
One week later, on September 13th, Iowa will play host to UMass. That game will be under the lights at Kinnick Stadium, kicking off at 6:30 pm on the Big Ten Network.

The Hawkeyes homecoming game the next week on September 27th will be against Indiana. That game will kickoff at either 11 a.m., 2:30 or 3 p.m.
Two other games played in November also had their kickoff times announced. Iowa will play at USC on November 15th and that game is set for a start at 2 or 2:30 p.m. with TV designation to be determined at a later date. Finally, Iowa will travel to Nebraska and play their traditional Black Friday contest on November 29th. That game will kickoff at 11:00 a.m. and air on CBS.
The rest of the start times for the Iowa football season will be determined by the TV partners in either a 6 or 12 day window during the season.
