Iowa Basketball Announces Non-Con Schedule
On Friday we moved one step closer to the start of the Iowa Basketball season. The Hawkeyes finally released the non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season.
The eleven game slate was revealed on Friday and most of it was already out for public consumption. Headlining the non-conference games is Iowa hosting Xavier, traveling to Iowa State, and two games in Palm Springs near the Thanksgiving holiday against Ole Miss and either Utah or Grand Canyon.
The Hawkeyes will open the season with their first five games at home, hosting Robert Morris (Nov. 4), Western Illinois (Nov. 7), Xavier (Nov. 14), SEMO (Nov. 18) and Chicago State (Nov. 20).
Iowa travels to Palm Springs, California, for the Acrisure Classic where the team will face Ole Miss on Nov. 25. The Hawkeyes will then play either Grand Canyon or Utah in a second game on Nov. 26.
The Hawkeyes travel to Ames, Iowa, for an Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series matchup at Iowa State on Dec. 11 before hosting Western Michigan on Dec. 14. After playing Bucknell at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines on Dec. 20, Iowa closes on nonconference play against UMass-Lowell on Dec. 29 in Iowa City.

Iowa will play four games against 2025 NCAA Tournament teams during non-league play with a fifth game possible depending on the results of the Acrisure Classic.
The full schedule, including Big Ten games, is expected to be released next week. There will likely be a pair of Big Ten games, one home and one away, the first week of December.
