Isaia Howard signs with Iowa Basketball

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Drake transfer Isaia Howard has signed a scholarship agreement with the University of Iowa men’s basketball program, it was announced Friday by head coach Ben McCollum.
The guard, who will have three years of eligibility remaining, is the fourth former Bulldog to officially sign with the Hawkeyes, joining Bennett Stirtz, Kael Combs and Cam Manyawu.

All four played under McCollum during the 2024-25 season, helping the Bulldogs to a 31-win season, a Missouri Valley Conference regular season and tournament title and to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

- Scored in double figures in three games and had five or more rebounds seven times
- Finished with a career-high 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting with four 3-pointers and six assists in 36 minutes in the MVC Tournament win over Southern Illinois
- Netted 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting against Murray State (1/5) and scored seven points on 3-of-4 shooting in the NCAA Tournament win over sixth-seeded Missouri
- Named 2024 Missouri Class 2 Player of Year after averaging 34.4 points, 13.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 5.6 steals
- Led Plattsburg High School to 25-6 record and quarterfinal round of state tournament
- Three-time first team all-state and all-league selection
- Scored 3,001 points in prep career with 541 steals (which ranks No. 16 on national career prep list)… finished prep career with 77 double-doubles and four triple-doubles.
