Hawkeyes talk win over Grand Canyon
It certainly wasn’t very pretty on Wednesday evening, but as the saying goes, an ugly win will beat a pretty loss each and every time. That was the case in Iowa’s 59-46 victory over Grand Canyon in the finals of the Acruisure Series event in Palm Springs.
Following the win, we spoke with the MVP of the event, Bennett Stritz, who explained why this game was so challenging and how he got sped up in the contest. We also hear from Isaia Howard, who came off the bench on Wednesday to go 3-5 from three point range and scored 19 points in the victory. We also talk to Kael Combs about his role in the starting lineup and handling the ball to give Bennett Stritz a break from handling it on every possession.
