There were no excuses coming from the Iowa men’s basketball team following a hard fought 66-62 loss to the Cyclones. While the Hawkeyes were certainly proud of their growth on the road, there was no comfort in that as Iowa came up short when it comes to winning the game.

Following the loss, Bennett Stirtz and Tate Sage discussed the loss to the Cyclones and how they were able to build a lead in the first half and how they had to fight their way back in the second twenty minutes. Stritz discussed how he was moved more off the ball in this game and the physical nature of it and if the officiating impacted the game. Sage talks about his fearless play, a big dunk that broke a long scoring dry spell for the Hawkeyes, and playing point guard in the second half.
