Iowa C/DH Reese Moore to enter the transfer portal

It’s been a newsworthy day for Iowa Baseball and not in a good way. The transfer portal does not open until June 2nd, but several Hawkeyes have announced their intentions to enter their name. The latest to do so is First Team All-Big Ten utility player Reese Moore.
After redshirting as a true freshman, Moore appeared in 107 games, with 102 starts over the past two seasons. This past season, Reese slashed .304/.436/.546 in 56 games, with 59 hits, 16 doubles, nine home runs and 45 RBI’s. He tallied 17 multi-hit games, but did not hit a home run after hitting two home runs on March 28th against Minnesota.
At the moment, the Hawkeyes have had four players announce their intentions to enter the portal. Right-hander Anthony Watts announced earlier today, while right-hander Sam Hart and infielder Andrew Holub have also announced that they will enter the portal.
