Isaiah Oliver is seeking high major football offers.

No one can say that Isaiah Oliver isn’t keeping busy this spring. In fact, the Class of 2026 athlete might be one of the busiest athletes out there.

On any given day, along with going to school, Oliver is participating in track and field for Waukee Northwest High School running the 100 in 11.36 seconds and long jumping 23.5 this season. Then it’s off to basketball practice with his Iowa United AAU team and some days there might even be some 7 on 7 football worked into the mix.

“It’s been pretty busy,” he said with a smile. “That’s my daily routine.”

This past weekend the 6-foot and 195 pound athlete was in Council Bluffs playing AAU basketball. This season at Waukee Northwest, he averaged 4.9 points and 2 assists per game. Another weekend he might be playing 7 on 7 football. College programs either see him as a wide receiver or a nickel type back. At the high school level last year he caught 36 passes for 430 yards and 6 touchdowns.

He has already racked up offers from North Dakota State, South Dakota State, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Northern Iowa. He is being recruited by Iowa, Iowa State, and Northern Illinois. In June he will camp at all three of those programs hoping to earn a scholarship offer.

“I just have to keep working to get those football offers. I think doing track this year has really helped me with my speed and quickness. Now I have to go out and show what I can do.”

Iowa is always front of mind for Oliver, who is the son of former Iowa basketball standout Dean Oliver. These days, his father is coaching the Iowa United high school program and there’s always a warm welcome when the duo make an unofficial visit to Iowa City for football.

“It’s always great visiting Iowa. The people there are great. The environment for football is always great. Everyone knows my dad there, so it feels like home.”
