Jacob Gill had five receptions for 52 yards in the loss to Iowa State.

While it still wasn’t great, it was progress for the Iowa passing game. The Hawkeyes still failed to crack 100 yards passing, but it was a good and solid day for last year’s leading receiver, Jacob Gill. He hauled in five passes from Mark Gronowski for 52 yards, including a season long 22 yard completion to Gill.

Following the loss to Iowa State, Gill spoke with the media about the state of the Iowa offense and passing game and if he saw progress from the Iowa quarterback position in the second week of the season.
