Kamari Moulton missing from Iowa two deeps

The Iowa football team released their updated two deeps depth chart for the upcoming games against Iowa State and there was one notable absence.
That missing player was starting running back Kamari Moulton. After missing time during fall camp with a hamstring issue, Moulton returned to practice a week before the opening game of the season. He left Saturday’s opener in the first half with what appeared to be a shoulder injury.
Moulton finished the day with three carries for 22 yards before seeking medical attention.
At the top of the depth chart this week is Terrell Washington Jr. He was listed as the co-starter last week heading into the game against Albany. Washington finished the opener with 69 yards rushing on 11 carries. The new star of the game this past Saturday was redshirt freshman running back Xavier Williams. He wrapped his first playing time at Iowa with 122 yards on the ground and one touchdown. Listed third on the depth chart is veteran back Jaziun Patterson, who played later in the game and had 7 carries for 47 yards. Also in the mix for carries is true freshman Nathan McNeil, who had three carries for 14 yards.
A few other notes on the depth chart. Reece Vander Zee, who is expected to miss the first month of action, is no longer on the depth chart. He was replaced by Dayton Howard, who is the backup to Sam Phillips. Howard played one snap this past weekend according to Pro Football Focus.

Graduate transfer Bryce George injured his shoulder in pregame blocking drills and was in a sling on the sidelines. Head coach Kirk Ferentz indicated after the game that it will likely be an extended absence for the veteran lineman. He was replaced in the two deeps by Cael Winter.
On the defensive side of the ball the only change of significance was that defensive tackles Jonah Pace and Bryce Hawthorne are listed as co-starters. Also Jeremiah Pittman is now listed as their backup at defensive tackle. Pittman actually played the most snaps of the trio on Saturday with 16. He was followed by Pace with 15 and Hawthorne at 13 according to Pro Football Focus.
