Layla Hays settled in the post at Iowa
After spending most of the summer away from her home state of Alaska, Layla Hays said she was happy to get back home for a brief visit, she was excited to get back to her college home and her welcoming teammates in Iowa City.
Hays is a freshman center and more of a traditional back to the basket post player that has excelled at Iowa over the years. She talks about learning from head coach and post whisperer, Jan Jensen along with assistant coach Randi Henderson about the finer points of post play at the college level. She also talks about the battles and the friendship that she has found with fellow post player Ava Heiden since she arrived on campus.
