Mark Gronowski prepares for first Iowa start

Saturday won’t be the first time that Mark Gronowski will play a football game inside Kinnick Stadium. But, it will be the first time he has done so wearing an Iowa football uniform. The South Dakota State transfer, who was elected to be a team captain this week, will lead the Hawkeyes in their opening game against Albany.
By the way, it will also not be the first time Gronowski will face Albany. When he was at SDSU, they faced Albany in the FCS playoffs and trounced them 59-0, with the quarterback passing for 265 yards and three scores, while running for another 50 yards. He talks about his development during fall camp and shaking off some rust in the last two weeks, where he showed quite a bit of improvement.
