OL Owen Linder makes college decision

Class of 2026 offensive lineman Owen Linder has made his college decision. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Minnesota native announced today that he is going to be an Iowa Hawkeye after his latest visit to Iowa City over the weekend.
“I just knew it was right,” Linder told HawkeyeReport.com. “Everything they do is consistent and that is something I want to be a part of.”
A three-star prospect, Linder chose Iowa over scholarship offers from Minnesota, Kansas, Illinois, Kansas State, Iowa State, Arkansas, California, and Purdue.
“I think it is a place where I can get where I want to go and they can make me the best possible player I can be,” said Linder.

Playing right tackle in high school, Linder had a strong junior year for Chanhassen and has the flexibility to play inside or out in college.
“They have talked tackle, but have said I am a flex and could probably play both,” Linder said.
Overall, Linder is commitment No. 4 for the Hawkeyes in the Class of 2026 as he joins offensive tackle Carson Nielsen, quarterback Cash Herrera, and defensive back Marcello Vitti on Iowa’s early list.
