The two both grew up in the Midwest and saw each other on the AAU circuit prior to beginning their collegiate careers. Bueckers was rated as the #1 player in the 2020 class by ESPN, while Caitlin came in at #4. As freshman, they met up in the Sweet Sixteen in San Antonio with Connecticut advancing with a 92-72 victory. Now, they meet up in the Final Four, with a spot in the national championship on the line.
