PHOTO GALLERY: ESPN College Gameday visits Carver-Hawkeye Arena
Prior to the heavyweight top ten matchup between the Iowa Hawkeyes and Ohio State Buckeyes, ESPN College Gameday stopped by for their second visit in as many seasons. Fans flooded in at 9:00am to get a seat close to the floor and the show kicked off at 10:00am CT. Around 10:25am, the Gameday crew moved courtside, as players began to warm up on the court. Head Coach Lisa Bluder and former WNBA star Maya Moore joined the hour long show alongside Elle Duncan, Rebecca Lobo, Andraya Carter, Carolyn Peck and Holly Rowe.
The Women’s Basketball version of the College Gameday show has done seven regular season shows over the last two seasons, with Iowa and South Carolina each hosting the show twice. The Hawkeyes are 2-0 with Gameday in town, including wins over #2 Indiana (2023) and #2 Ohio State (2024).
