On the outside, Carver-Hawkeye Arena was turned into a snow globe on Saturday, with several inches of snow falling, causing adverse travel conditions. Inside, roughly 6,000 fans braved the elements to see the 11th-ranked Iowa Women’s Basketball team earn a 102-68 win over OVC favorite Lindenwood. With the win, the Hawkeyes move to 10-1 on the season.

After the Iowa frontcourt had all sorts of trouble against Iowa State on Wednesday, they returned to form against the Lions. Hannah Stuelke led the way, putting up a season-high 31 points, while Ava Heiden (14 pts) and Layla Hays (11 pts) both scored in double figures, as the Hawkeyes outscored Lindenwood 58-28 in the paint. The two Taylor’s, McCabe and Stremlow, combined for five made three-pointers and 12 assists.

HawkeyeReport.com photographer Dennis Scheidt was at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Saturday afternoon to capture the best shots of the action between the Hawkeyes and Lions. Up next, the Hawkeyes will face off against top-ranked UConn at the Women’s Champions Classic in Brooklyn.
