Caitlin Clark said that she feels like the Round of 32 is the hardest round in the NCAA Tournament. It proved to be just that, as the top seeded Hawkeyes had to fight and claw their way to a 64-54 win over 8 seed West Virginia on Monday night. Iowa had leads of 12 and 10 in the second half, but WVU responded to tie the game with 2:55 to play. Finally, a driving basket, plus the foul from Syd Affolter turned the tides in the final 120 seconds and the Hawkeyes survived a scare on their home floor. Caitlin Clark finished with a game-high 32 points, eight rebounds and three assists, while Syd Affolter added 13 points and seven rebounds. Hannah Stuelke logged a double-double 12 points and 11 rebounds.

HawkeyeReport.com photographer Dennis Scheidt was at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Monday night to capture the best shots of the action. Up next, the Hawkeyes will face 5 seeded Colorado in the Sweet Sixteen in Albany, NY on Saturday.
