Play-by-play recap: Iowa 3 Michigan 2
It hasn’t been easy in Ann Arbor through two days, but the dust has settled on Saturday afternoon and the Hawkeyes have another series win. Iowa Baseball took the lead in the fourth inning and held on for a 3-2 nail-biting win over Michigan.
Aaron Savary was fantastic on the mound, allowing one run on five hits over 7.0 innings, while Chas Wheatley tossed 1.2 scoreless innings to close things out and earn his first career save.
With the win, the Hawkeyes move to 26-11 on the season and 16-4 in Big Ten play. They clinch the series over the Wolverines, which gives them seven series wins in a row to begin Big Ten play.
